Telephoned this company for CB aerial required for the weekend (I called after 4pm on a Friday) The guy I spoke to couldn't do enough to help, even walked up to the post office and posted it for me. Dear Richard, I am writing to say how pleased I am with the MA-1300-R aerial I bought from you last November. For various reasons I have only recently been able to get it fixed externally high up on the house, but I am now impressed with its performance when used with my Yupiteru 7100 scanner. I am able to pull in signals from various airfields in Hampshire and marine signals from Portsmouth, Isle of Wight and Southampton. I am very glad I took your advice to buy this aerial. 10 years I've gone back on the air and I'm really enjoying it.
The day after I got back from your shop, I assembled the G5RV 1/2 wave, and patiently set up, soldering the PL259s and checking everything. Once I plugged in the coax, the radio really came alive! My first contact out of the box was Moscow! And all on a piece of wire from my window-ledge! So far I've contacted Florida, Morocco, Lithuania, Ukraine and Iceland(!) - and all in one week! I never realised amateur radio could be this enjoyable - and all on a primitive antenna set up that is barely above ground level!
